Model Town allows more storeys on top of old buildings
LAHORE: The Model Town Society (MTS) has allowed the construction of multi-class buildings in commercial areas in violation of municipal law, while citizens are concerned about safety disasters in building many shops in ancient buildings that have suffered several earthquakes.
In the past, public administration is known for taking a firm stand on shopkeepers who are trying to build many shops in their stores. There was no idea of law enforcement as abusers facing the risk of cancellation of their lease.
Construction of C & H trade buildings blocked public markets began in 1975 and the community imposed unnecessary penalties for those building any building above the floor. Previous buyers had to seek permission from public administration before they could change their shop construction. However, shop owners have begun to build several shops over their private sector only by violating the laws of the municipality.
Citizens: MTS citizens say this could have serious consequences given to the size of public business activities. They say that without any potential damage or collapse, many commercial centers will pose a threat to the public and the public good at a high level of automobile and integration.
Officials: MTS president Colonel ® Thahir Kardar said public administration would allow the formation of a large shareholder to earn public income. He said the community community was very old in the past few decades and many shops had to meet the needs of the public.
He said the public would not allow the construction of several shops in the old buildings and will cancel the appointment of those who violate the laws. He said the public would only allow the construction of new quality buildings.
